How to list a car on Carzone (and CarsIreland and DoneDeal) without re-typing it three times

The painful way most Irish dealers do this, the lazy-but-clever way that saves an hour per car, and a 60-second walkthrough of doing it right.

If you sell ten cars a month and list each one on Carzone, CarsIreland, and DoneDeal, you are typing the same set of details — make, model, year, mileage, NCT, equipment, description — into three different sites every single time.

Twenty minutes per car × thirty listings = a working day, every month, gone to data entry.

Here's how to stop.

What most dealers do today

Open Carzone Pro. Type the reg into their system. Wait for the auto-fill to maybe work. Type the description. Upload six photos. Save. Open a new tab. Open CarsIreland Pro. Type the reg again. Re-upload the same photos. Re-write the description (or copy-paste and pray nothing got mangled). Save. Open DoneDeal. Repeat.

If a price changes — every time you knock €500 off a slow mover — you do this round trip again on all three sites.

The lazy-but-clever way

The trick is to manage the listing in one place and let that one place push to the others. The sites all accept the same standard inventory feed format (XML) — so anyone with a half-decent inventory tool can publish the listing to your stock board, then have it auto-syndicate.

That's exactly what Dealerexport does. Type the reg once, AI writes the description, drag-drop six photos, tick the channel boxes, hit Publish. Carzone, CarsIreland, DoneDeal, and your own website all light up within fifteen minutes.

The 60-second walkthrough

  1. Sign up at dealerexport.ie — free up to 5 cars, no card.
  2. Hit Add vehicle. Type the registration plate.
  3. Eighty percent of the form auto-fills (make, model, year, fuel, gearbox, body, doors, NCT date, CO₂).
  4. Drag in your photos. Reorder by dragging. Tap one to set the hero shot.
  5. Hit Regenerate description — Claude writes 120-180 words from the spec sheet. Edit if you want a different tone.
  6. Tick the channels: Carzone, CarsIreland, DoneDeal, your website. Hit Publish.

You're done. The car is now live on every site you ticked, and it'll stay in sync forever after — change the price once and all four sites update automatically.

"But I already pay Carzone"

You still pay Carzone. We don't resell or mark up channel fees — what they charge you, you pay them, not us. We just save you the hour-per-car of re-typing the listing.

For a 30-car-a-month dealer, that's 30 hours a month back. At even €15/hour of your time, that's €450 saved on a €19/mo subscription.

That's the maths. The rest is just whether you'd rather spend an hour selling cars or an hour copy-pasting.
